After beating woman | Locals hold demonstration in Tal Abyad against Turkish-backed military police

SOHR sources have monitored dozens of residents holding a demonstration in Tal Abyad in northern countryside of al-Raqqa province, within the “Peace Spring” areas.

The demonstrators demanded that military police officers who stormed a woman’s house and brutaly beat her yesterday be held accountable.

They also demanded the toppling of the Turkish-backed military police official in the city of Tal Abyad, amid growing public discontent and tension over the ongoing abuses by Ankara-backed militants against the residents in the area.

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory monitored a security tension evolving into clashes between military police and members of the third central of al-Jabha al-Shamiya, after members of the military police stormed a house in the city of Tel Abyad within the areas of “Peace Spring”, north of Raqqa, beating a woman from the city. While tension is still prevailing in the city between both sides to date.
