Turkish-backed factions’ atrocities | Armed group assault and loot civilian in Afrin’s Sheikh Hadid district

SOHR sources have reported that Turkish-backed militiamen stormed the house of a civilian in Sannarah village of Sheikh Hadid district in Afrin countryside yesterday evening. The gunmen beat the civilian brutally, then they looted his money and escaped.

On August 23, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that gunmen affiliated to the Turkish-backed brigade of “Sultan Mohammed Al-Fateh” asked a civilian to evacuate his house in Kurkan Foqani village, in the countryside of the Turkish-controlled city of Afrin.

The gunmen claimed that the house owner’s wife worked for the “Komin” (local committees) during the control of Kurdish forces of Kurkan Foqani village. They also threatened to expel the house’s owner from Afrin canton unless he gave his wife up, who is now in Aleppo city.

On the other hand, another civilian from the same countryside was arrested for unknown reasons.

Syrian Observatory activists reported a day earlier that gunmen of the Turkish-backed division of “Sultan Murad” stormed a house inhabited by displaced people from Maarrat Al-Nu’man, in Bolbol township in Afrin countryside, north-west of Aleppo. The faction’s gunmen insulted the house’s inhabitants (men, women and children) and beat them brutally, as the family did not evacuated the house which “Sultan Murad” factions intended to seize and turn into headquarters.

It is worth noting that the areas controlled by Turkish forces and their proxies are suffering from ongoing violations by the Turkish-backed factions, in attempts to clamp down on the indigenous residents and displaced civilians in these areas, at a time when Turkey continue turning a blind eye to these violations.
