Coronavirus | Four new confirmed cases in last 24 hours, and total number of infected people rises to 65 in north-western Syria

Health authorities have recorded in the past 24 hours four new coronavirus cases in north-western Syria.

One case was recorded in rural Aleppo in the areas held by Turkish-backed factions.

Three new cases were recorded, one in al-Bab town in Aleppo countryside, and the rest in Idlib countryside.

According to Observatory statistics, the number of confirmed cases, since July 9 to date, rose to 65, including two doctors were residing in Turkey.

Breakdown of the cases is as follows: 32 cases, including medical staff in HTS-held areas in Idlib, parts of Aleppo, Hama and Latakia, and 31 cases in the areas controlled by Turkish-backed factions, north of Aleppo.

While recovery cases in north-western Syria have risen to 52.

On August 18, health authorities documented the death of an elderly woman infected with the coronavirus in al-Dana town in Idlib countryside.
