Vigil in Deir ez-Zor | Al-Shaytat residents call for support for their areas and for bereaved families of ISIS victims

Deir ez-Zor Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR eyewitnesses have monitored residents of the town of Abu Hammam in rural Deir al-Zour, holding a vigil today, in which demonstrators called for supporting the infrastructure of their areas and providing support to the families of the al-Sha’itat clan who were killed by the Islamic State.

On August 25, SOHR activists monitored tens of people participating in a demonstration in Al-Sh’aytat area in Abu Hamam village, east of Deir Ezzor, demanding SDF and the International Coalition release the prisoners of Al-Sh’aytat held in SDF prisons. The demonstrators set rubber tires on fire blocking Abu Hamam village’s main roads.
