ISIS resurgence | Six members of “military intelligence” killed in attack on Deir Ezzor-Al-Mayadeen road

The Syrian Observatory activists have documented the killing of six members of the regime’s military intelligence, after ISIS members opened fire on their vehicle, using machineguns, on the road between Deir Ezzor city and Al-Mayadeen.

Yesterday, Observatory sources said that fierce clashes erupted in positions in the western countryside of Deir Ezzor in Syria desert, between regime forces and loyal militias on one hand, and ISIS members on the other. The clashes coincided with exchange of shelling between both sides.

On the other hand, all contacts with a group of the regime-backed National Defence Forces (NDF), including a commander, were lost and the fate of group’s militiamen remained unknown.
