Poor health services in Self Administration-held areas | Five new people die of coronavirus, and number of infected cases increases to 508

Health authorities in the “Self-Administration” areas have reported five deaths and 30 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in northern and eastern Syria. This brings the number of confirmed cases to 508.

On August 7, SOHR sources documented the death of three people of coronavirus cases in the “Self-Administration” areas.

The Syrian Observatory had monitored the authorities in the “Self-Administration” areas not adhering to implementing the quarantine decision in their areas, having found that the decision was ineffective in light of the lack of popular awareness.

The authorities are closing shops at 3 p.m., without regard to the location of human gatherings in the area during the quarantine.

Meanwhile, hospitals, clinics and health centres are overcrowded and are unable to meet the needs of patients and provide them with the necessary examinations.
