“Al-Hawl mini-state” | Asayish Forces foil new escape attempt and arrest “collaborators”

The Internal Security Forces (Asayish) foiled a new attempt by eight women, including two Iraqis, with nearly 25 children to escape from Al-Hawl Camp. According to SOHR sources, Asayish Forces detected the escape attempt at the camp’s main fence, after arresting a YPG member and another member of Asayish forces, as the two members had been coordinated with the women to facilitate their way out.

 

Al-Hawl camp experience almost-daily escape attempts. Most of the escapee have been arrested, while others succeeded to reach areas under the control of Turkish forces and their proxies via smuggling networks.

 

On August 11, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) foiled a new attempt by women of ISIS family to escape from Al-Hawl Camp in the south-eastern countryside of Al-Hasakah. Four Russian women with four of their sons were attempting to escape from Al-Hawl camp, after coordination with the driver of a water tanker truck affiliated to the “Syrian Red Crescent”, who used to deliver water daily to the immigrant section in the camp.

 

On August 8, SOHR sources said that the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) managed on Friday evening to foil an escape attempt from Al-Hawl camp by five women and seven of their children of Russian nationalities. The women were arrested while attempting to cross the camp wall, as they were caught by surveillance cameras.
