Security chaos in HTS-held areas | Uncertainty surrounds the missing of two girls in northern Idlib

As instability is prevailing in areas under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions in Ildib province, SOHR sources have reported that communication was lost with two girls, while thy were heading from Deir Hassan village to Al-Dana town in the northern countryside of Idlib. Local sources suggest that the girls have been kidnapped, while no further details have been reported about the circumstances of their disappearance.

On May 7, SOHR sources said that unknown individuals kidnapped a civilian from Salqin city in rural Idlib, demanding his parents pay a large ransom, after sending a video tape, a copy of which was obtained by SOHR, showing the kidnappers cutting off the kidnapped civilian’s finger and brutally torturing him.

On the other hand, a civilian from Al-Ya’qubiya village in rural Idlib was kidnapped, while reasons and motives behind kidnapping him remained unknown.
