Turkey Sends Reinforcements to Syria

ERBIL – Scores of Turkish military vehicles on Sunday entered neighboring Syria, as Ankara continues to send reinforcements to the country, a monitor said.

A Turkish convoy, consisting of more than 60 vehicles crossed into Syria through the border crossing of Kafr Lusin in northern Idlib province, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported.

“The vehicles headed to the Turkish positions in the “de-escalation zone,” the Britain-based monitoring group added, referring to the rebel-held areas.

Turkey has so far sent over 9,540 trucks and military vehicles as well as more than 12,800 soldiers since February, according to SOHR.
