Old ordnance | Explosions injure civilian in Idlib and woman in Damascus countryside

SOHR sources say that a civilian was seriously injured, which led to the amputation of one of his limbs today, as a result of a landmine explosion left over from war on agricultural land in the town of Al-Bara in Jabal al-Zawiya, south of Idlib.

On the other hand, an explosion occurred today on a farm near Tal Al-Zayat on the outskirts of the town of Bayt Jinn, which is under the control of regime forces in Damascus countryside, caused by a landmine left over from the war, which seriously injured a woman.

The old ordnance spreads in most Syrian areas that have witnessed military action, with no mechanism for detection and destruction the remnants of war, which threaten the life of the civilians.

On August 30, SOHR sources said that a landmine left over from the war has exploded in kafr Nassij town in northern Daraa countryside, injuring a civilian who was taken to medical centres.

Many civilians were killed and injured in Daraa governorate, as a result of the explosions of old ordnance from earlier shelling by Russian and regime jets, in addition to landmines.
