Security campaign in north of Aleppo | Turkish-backed factions arrest ten wanted persons

Aleppo Governorate- Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored a security campaign by military police, in cooperation with the Azaz Intelligence branch in northern Aleppo countryside, during which ten people believed to be smugglers were arrested.

According to local sources, the arrested persons were of the Islamic State and were opearating in the city of Azaz and countryside.

The intelligence branch also seized quantities of improvised explosive devices intended for detonation.

As security chaos continues in Turkish-backed factions, SOHR sources say that unidentified gunmen assassinated today a policeman working in the centre of the city of Azaz, which is under the influence of Turkish-backed factions in northern Aleppo countryside, on the road between the villages of Sheikh Rih and Al-Fayrouziya in Suran area.

On August 27, SOHR sources said that residents in the Turkish-held town of Azaz found the body of a man shot dead, lying near the Al-Jundi mosque in the city in unknown circumstances.
