“Peace Spring” area | Turkish-backed fighters kidnap civilian and his son in Ras al-Ain countryside

SOHR sources say that members of Turkish-backed factions kidnapped yesterday a civilian and his son, who hail from the village of Um Harmaleh, near the frontlines between Turkish-backed factions and SDF.

According to Observatory sources, the factions took them to Um Ushbeh prison in the “Peace Spring” area. Turkish-backed factions accused them of belonging to Kurdish parties, without knowing the real reasons for the arrest.

Yesterday, reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that gunmen of the Turkish-backed faction “Ahrar Al-Sharqiyyah” arrested the head of “Al-Boassaf” tribe in Al-Mankali village in the western countryside of Tal Abyad, in the “Peace Spring” areas. 

The gunmen took the Sheikh to unknown destination, while the reasons behind arresting him remained unknown.

It is worth noting that the head of “Al-Boassaf” tribe suffers from chronic illnesses.
