After more than ten days of tense calm | Turkish forces and proxy factions shell positions in Tal Abyad countryside

SOHR sources say that Turkish forces and proxy factions shelled the villages of Afdako and Kobarlik in western countryside of Tel Abyad. No casualties have been reported so far.

This comes after a tense calm on the frontlines of Tel Abyad lasted ten consecutive days.

On August 22, the Syrian Observatory monitored rocket attacks by Turkish-backed factions on areas controlled by the SDF in the western countryside of Tel Abyad town, north of Raqqa. No casualties were reported.

On August 18, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of a woman and the wounding of another, after being targeted by Turkish forces stationed at a security checkpoint in the village of Al-Mulla in the Turkmen Hammam area in Tal Abyad countryside, as they returned from Raqqa city to their village.
