“De-escalation zone” | Landmine explosions leave casualties among regime forces in rural Idlib, and rebels target regime positions near Kafrnabel

SOHR activists say that two members of the regime forces were killed and others were injured today, after a group of regime forces entered a minefield planted by factions on frontline of the village of Al-Bara in southern Idlib countryside.

On the other hand, factions operating in Idlib countryside shelled regime forces in the village of Al-Dar al-Kabira near the town of Kafranbel, south of Idlib. No casualties have been reported so far.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored an ongoing tense calm for hours across the “Putin-Erdogan” region.

SOHR activists have monitored Russian and Turkish reconnaissance drones flying this morning over Idlib city and southern countryside. Meanwhile, regime forces renewed their rocket attacks in the early hours of Friday morning, targeting places in Al-Fterah, Kansafrah, Sfuhen, the outskirts of Al-Bara in Jabal Al-Zawiyah, and Al-Ankawi in Sahl Al-Ghab in north-western countryside of Hama.

While reports have suggested that several regime soldiers were killed after being shot by HTS snipers on frontlines of Idlib countryside.
