Deir Ezzor | SDF arrest ex-ISIS fighter

Reliable sources have told the Syrian Observatory that an SDF patrol stormed last night the house of a former ISIS fighter, in Al-Takihi village in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. The security forces arrested the ex-ISIS fighter for unknown reasons. It is worth noting that SDF arrested the same person previously and detained him for a whole year.

On September 1, SOHR sources reported that an SDF patrol stormed the house of a drug dealer, in Al-Busayrah city in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. However, the targeted person managed to escape.

SDF members arrested a child of the drug dealer’s neighbours for unknown reasons, which pushed a large number of the city’s locals to interfere and free the kid from the grip of SDF members who opened fire indiscriminately with the purpose of dispersing the crowds of people.

On August 25, SOHR sources reported that Syria Democratic Forces released eight people from Al-Shuhayl town in eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor. SDF had launched a security campaign in Al-Shuhayl on August 8, in which they arrested these people and took them to security centers. The reasons behind this arrest were not known at that time. However, SOHR sources said that SDF accused these people of “belonging to an ISIS cell”.
