Deir ez-Zor | Unidentified gunmen attack vehicle carrying former SDF commander accused of handing over ISIS members’ wives

Deir ez-Zor province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR activists say that unidentified gunmen on a motorcycle attacked today a civilian car carrying two people, one of them a SDF member and the other a former SDF commander, in the village of Al-Subha in the eastern countryside of Deir al-Zour, injuring them.

It is worth nothing that the former commander had handed over the wives of ISIS members to SDF years ago, with the help of another person who was working as the head of people’s committees in the city of Al-Busayrah, and was assassinated by ISIS members on March 3, 2019.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored today the explosion of a booby-trapped motorcycle in the village of Al-Sa’aweh, which is under the control of the SDF, in western countryside of Deir al-Zour, causing material damage but no casualties have been reported.

SOHR sources said yesterday that two gunmen killed a dissident policeman in the city of Al-Busayrah, east of Deir ez-Zor. He was shot with a machine gun while he was in a car dealership in the city.
