Deir Ezzor | “Military Security” service in Al-Mayadeen forces volunteers to sign long-term contracts for unknown reasons

Reliable sources have informed the Syria Observatory that the regime’s “Military Security” has forced volunteers in its ranks, who have annual contracts, to sign a 25-year contracts under which these volunteers are bound by military service for a contract’s whole duration. It is worth noting that “Military Security” service had admitted volunteers in its ranks under annual contracts with a monthly salary estimated at 30,000 SYL.

On September 1, Observatory sources reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) captured all water crossings used for smuggling between areas under their control in Al-Mayadeen and SDF-held areas on Euphrates river’s opposite bank.

IRGC armed group captured Al-Bareed crossing after expelling the 4th Division’s members stationed there. The group also expelling the National Defence Forces from the crossings of Al-Taybah and Al-Kurnish, bringing the two crossings under their control. However, the reasons behind this action remained unknown.
