UN aid supplies | Tens of trucks enter Idlib via Bab Al-Hawa crossing

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored at least 35 trucks affiliated to the United Nations carrying aid supplies for the residents of Idlib province, crossing into Syria via Bab Al-Hawa border crossing. This convoy is a part of the ongoing humanitarian aid supplies by the UN to Idlib.

In May, SOHR sources reported that a humanitarian aid convoy arrived at Bab al-Hawa crossing on the Syria-Turkey border. The convoy comprised nearly 90 UN trucks and seven other trucks provided by Turkish aid organizations carrying flour, drinking water and clothes, in support of poor families in Idlib city and countryside.

The displaced people constituted the vast majority of the population of Idlib province and related countryside. Idlib population is estimated at four million people, most of whom live in refugee camps on the Syria-Turkey border in northern Idlib, as well as other scattered makeshift camps.
