Despite protests and popular rejection | Turkish forces move prefabricated school from village in “Peace Spring” areas

SOHR sources say that the village of al-Salhiya, north of Ain Issa district in the “Peace Spring” areas in Raqqa countryside, has witnessed great tension and protests by residents as Turkish troops moved a prefabricated school in the village.

Dozens of people gathered refusing to move their village school, however, Turkish forces completed their mission moving the school to an unknown location.

On September 4, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored the ongoing theft and looting of property in the areas of “Peace Spring”.

Turkish-backed factions continue to steal the full contents of civilians’ homes in al-Shirkeh village in Ras al-Ain countryside, in addition to stealing public property and electricity grid cables to extract metal, copper and aluminum, smelt them into bullions, and sell them as scrap metal on Turkish markets

Observatory sources in Ras al-Ain countryside have reported that the transfers of these minerals and grain are carried out under Turkish sponsorship and being implemented by Turkish-backed factions and the military police commander in Ras al-Ain.
