Demonstrations in Deir Ezzor | People of Al-Baghouz protest SDF violations and “arbitrary” arrests

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored tens of people participating in a demonstration in Al-Baghouz town in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor, protesting the violations by SDF members during security campaigns and at checkpoints. The demonstrators also demanded the release of detainees and called for stopping the “malicious arrests”, as they said. It is worth noting that residents accused SDF members of “stealing jewelry” during today’s security campaign in the town.

SOHR sources reported earlier this that Syria Democratic Forces arrested two brothers in Al-Baghouz town in Deir Ezzor countryside, near the Syria-Iraq border. The reasons behind arresting these people remained unknown.

It is worth noting that the two arrested people are the brothers of the head of “Al-Baghouz Civil Council” who engaged in altercation with the security forces during the raid.
