Raqqa | Landmine explodes, killing SDF member in Ain Issa countryside
SOHR sources say that a member of the SDF was killed today by a landmine explosion on the frontlines with Turkish-backed factions in the countryside of Ain Issa, north of Raqqa.
The frontlines between SDF and the regime forces on one hand, and Turkish forces and proxy factions on the other, are witnessing an exchange of fire and infiltration attempts to plant landmines on the frontlines of rural Tal Abyad and Ain Issa in the north of Raqqa province.
Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory monitored artillery shelling by the Turkish army and proxy factions, targeting the village of Al-Khalidiya in the western countryside of Ain Issa area, north of Raqqa province.
On September 4, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored rocket attacks by the Turkish-backed “National Army” factions targeting SDF-held areas in Ain Issa area in northern countryside of Raqqa.
