Escalating violence | Regime forces shell Idlib countryside, and rebels attack regime position in Sahl Al-Ghab

SOHR activists say that regime forces shelled the al-Fatira frontline, south of Idlib, coinciding with clashes between regime forces and loyal militants on the one hand, and rebels and Islamic factions on the other, on the village frontline and its surroundings.

Meanwhile, jihadist factions have targeted with mortars regime forces’ gatherings on the Foru and Al-Bahasa frontlines in Sahl al-Ghab plain, far north-west of Hama province. No casualties have been reported.

SOHR activists said earlier that the factions have targeted with heavy machine guns and B9 rockets regime forces and loyalists in the village of Miznaz in western Aleppo province. No casualties have been reported so far.

On the other hand, Russian jets flew over the area of “Putin-Erdoğan” in rural Idlib and Aleppo, coinciding with the flight of Russian reconnaissance drones over the mountains of al-Turkman, north of Latakia and al-Zawiya in the Idlib countryside.

SOHR sources said earlier that regime forces fired several rockets on the areas of Al-Bara, Al-Fterah, Fulayfel and Sfuhen in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib.

Syrian Observatory activists had monitored new round of regime rocket attacks in the early hours of Saturday morning, targeting positions in Al-Bara, Fulayfel, Al-Fterah, Kansafra, Sfuhen, Bayanin, and other areas in the southern countryside of Idlib.
