Feuding factions | Tension rises in Ras Al-Ain city and countryside over renewed conflicts and clashes among Turkish-backed factions

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored rising tension in Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye) city and Mabroukah area in its countryside, which are under the control of Turkish forces and their proxies. This tension comes in the wake of the repeated armed fights among Turkish-backed factions, the latest of which erupted yesterday, as SOHR sources reported clashes with machineguns and medium weapons among Turkish-backed factions in Ras al-Ain countryside in “Peace Spring” areas.

Clashes took place between “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” and the “20th Division”, following disagreements over smuggling crossings in the villages of Al-Shatti, Aajeleh and the electricity company in Mabrouka, but no casualties were reported.

On September 10, Observatory activists monitored clashes with light and medium weapons between “Ahrar al-Sharqiya” and “al-Hamza Division” in the villages of Mabrouka, Mahmoudiyah and al-Qasimiyah in the “Peace Spring” areas. No casualties were reported.

In the village of Rihanniya in Ras al-Ain countryside, members of the al-Hamza Division opened fire near two women in the village. The members were behaving abnormally as they were under the influence of alcohol or narcotics, according to local sources.
