Military build-up | Regime reinforcement reach southern Idlib countryside, as shelling on rebels’ positions continues

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored the arrival of military reinforcement of regime forces and loyalists to the areas of rural Khan Sheikhoun and Ma’rat al-Numan in southern Idlib.

The reinforcement consist of military equipment, personnel carriers and heavy guns, as well as military buses, which were deployed in regime forces camps in the area.

On the other hand, regime forces resume ground bombardment on villages and towns of Idlib countryside. They targeted with heavy artillery the villages of Fleifel and Al-Fatira, as well as the village of Serja and other locations in Jabal al-Zawiya in Idlib countryside. No casualties have been reported so far.

Syrian Observatory sources have reported that regime forces fired hundreds of rockets and artillery, targeting positions in Al-Fterah, Kafr Oweid, Sfuhen, Kansafrah, Al-Barah in the southern countryside of Idlib, and other positions in Sahl Al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama. 

Furthermore, Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham shelled regime positions in Hazarin area in the southern countryside of Idlib, but no casualties have been reported.
