Military escalation | Regime forces fire nearly 200 rockets and artillery shells on positions in southern Idlib

Regime forces are still continuing their intensive bombardment on towns and villages in the southern countryside of Idlib. More than 190 rockets and shells have been fired by regime ground forces since morning, targeting several positions in Kansafra, Kafr Oweid, Al-Fterah, Sfuhen and Fulayfel, but no casualties have been reported.

SOHR activists monitored earlier this morning tense calm prevailing in the “de-escalation zone” since midnight interrupted this morning by regime rocket fire on Jabal Al-Zawiyah. The regime forces’ rockets pounded positions in Al-Fterah, Kansafrah, Sfuhen, surrounding areas of Kaf Oweid and Fulayfel.

Meanwhile, Turkish forces shelled regime positions on frontlines of Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib, amid unconfirmed reports about casualties.
