Drone attacks | Airstrikes hit vehicle of jihadi groups in Idlib city, killing its occupants

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored drones, believed to be affiliated to the International Coalition, striking a vehicle in Al-Qusur neighbourhood in Idlib city. The attack resulted in the killing of all of the vehicle’s occupants, as the vehicle is affiliated to jihadi groups operating in the area. However, the identities of fatalities have yet to be known.

On August 13, reliable SOHR sources confirmed that airstrikes by drones affiliated to the International Coalition killed an Uzbek jihadi commander. The targeted commander, known as “Abu Yehia”, was an independent “military trainer” and worked for jihadi factions. Moreover, the commander worked recently for “Hurras Al-Din” organization which swore allegiance to the al-Qaida, internationally-labeled as a terrorist organization.

The commander was targeted by the Coalition-affiliated drones nearby Sarmada town in the northern countryside of Idlib, near Iskenderun border, while he was traveling in his private car, which caused his immediate death.
