Turkish-backed areas | Engineering teams detonate IED in Afrin neighbourhoods

Aleppo Province – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:

SOHR sources say that engineering teams of Turkish-backed factions detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) placed by unknown assailants inside a garbage bag near a Turkish military post in the Ashrafieh neighbourhood in Afrin. No casualties have been reported.

The areas held by Turkish forces and their proxy factions are witnessing a surge in the activities of the cells responsible for planting IEDs and assassinations.

The death toll of yesterday’s car bomb explosion in the Turkish-controlled city of Afrin has risen to ten people, including a doctor and a child. Meanwhile, the death toll is expected to rise as the explosion left more than 35 persons injured, some seriously.

It is worth noting that the explosion took place in an overcrowded area near a market in Afrin city and near a security post affiliated to the Turkish-backed factions.
