Idlib | Exchange fire on southern frontlines of Idlib countryside, as regime forces shell villages of Jabal al-Zawiya

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored this evening sporadic clashes with heavy and medium weapons, between regime forces and loyalists on the one hand, and rebels and Islamic factions on the other, on frontline of the village of Al-Ruwayha in Idlib countryside.

Meanwhile, flares were fired on the frontlines, while regime forces shelled the villages of Benin and its bushes, Al-Mozra, Safohin and the town of al-Bara in Jabal al-Zawiya. No casualties have been reported so far.

Reliable SOHR sources have reported earlier that several Russian airstrikes hit training camps and headquarters of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham in Batentah area in the west of Maarrat Misrin city in northern Idlib. The aerial attack left several HTS members injured. It is worth noting that six Russian jets have executed more than 20 airstrikes on the bushes of Batentah and the western bushes of Idlib city. The Russian airstrikes coincided with regime rocket attacks on Kafr Oweid and Al-Halloubiya towns and other positions in Jabal Al-Zawiyah in southern Idlib.
