Violations in “Peace Spring” areas | Turkish-backed factions demolish and set civilians’ homes on fire in rural al-Hasakeh

SOHR sources say that the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad” faction demolishes the mud houses of civilians to extract tin plates, and dismantles electricity towers near the village of Kua Shalah in Ras al-Ain countryside in Hasaka province in the areas of the “Peace Spring”.

Meanwhile, Turkish-backed factions set six houses on fire in the village of Mahmoudiyah, Tel Tamer countryside and Khirbet Jamo in rural Abu Racine, without knowing the reasons.

The Syrian Observatory has monitored Turkish-backed factions imposing 2,000 Syrian pounds levy on residents, as they crossed the checkpoints of these factions in Tel Khanzir and Khirbet Banat, in addition to arresting civilians from these villages.

Turkish-backed “Al-Hamza Division” had released a civilian who had been arrested a few days earlier from the area of Arbaeen near the village of Kozliya in Ras al-Ain countryside within the ” “Peace Spring areas, after his relatives paid a ransom of $2,000. The civilian was brutally beaten and tortured in Al-Hamza Division’s prisons, for previously dealing with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), after SDF took control of their areas.
