Coronavirus | 13 new confirmed cases in north-western Syria, and number of deaths increases to five

SOHR activists say that a 50-year-old man who was infected with the coronavirus has died today in the town of Salqin in northern countryside of Idlib.

This brings the death toll to five. The breakdown is as follows: an elderly woman in Al-Dana town in Idlib countryside, another woman in Souran town in Aleppo countryside, a doctor in northern Aleppo countryside, an elderly man in al-Bab and a 50-year-old man from the town of Salqin.

Health authorities have recorded today 13 new coronavirus cases in north-western Syria, which is controlled by Turkish-backed factions and HTS in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.

According to Observatory statistics, the number of confirmed cases, since July 9 to date, rose to 464, including medical staff and doctors.
