Coronavirus in north-western Syria | Total number of infected people jumps to 500, and number of recovery cases increases to 49

Health authorities have recorded today 33 new cases of coronavirus in north-western Syria, which is under the control of HTS and Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces. The breakdown of infected cases is as follows: 18 infections in the city of Al-Bab, six in Azaz, three in Jarabulus, two in Jabal Sama’an and four in Idlib province. 

According to Observatory statistics, the number of confirmed cases, since July 9 to date, rose to 497, including medical staff and doctors.

While 22 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 149.

SOHR sources have documented the death of five people. The breakdown of fatalities is as follows: an elderly woman in Al-Dana town in Idlib countryside, another woman in Souran town in Aleppo countryside, a doctor in northern Aleppo countryside, and an elderly man in al-Bab.
