Damascus | IED explodes in “Al-Mazzah 86” neighbourhood, causing material damage

Damascus Province – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights: SOHR activists have reported hearing an explosion in “Al-Mazzah 86” neighbourhood in Syria’s capital, Damascus, caused by the detonation of an IED this dawn under a car parked at the neighbourhood’s entrance. The explosion caused material damage only.

On September 14, Observatory activists reported hearing an explosion in Zakyah town in the western Rif Dimashq. The explosion was caused by the detonation of an IED planted earlier below the car of a prominent figure, who mediated reconciliation deals between opposition fighters and the Syrian regime in the area. The explosion took place while the targeted person was getting in his car, which injured him seriously, and he was taken later to a hospital in the capital, Damascus.
