Rural Abu Racine (Zarkan) | Seven Turkish-backed fighters killed in three infiltration attempts by SDF
SOHR sources say that seven members of Turkish-backed factions were killed during clashes, shelling and infiltration attempts by the SDF into the positions of Turkish-backed factions in Abu Racine countryside in Hasakeh countryside on September 16 and 17.
The villages of Bab al-Khair, Um Ushbeh and Tal Mohammed have been shelled, coinciding with three infiltrations attempts by SDF members on the positions of Turkish-backed factions.
On the other hand, a number of SDF members were injured in Turkish shelling and targeting by Turkish-backed factions during infiltration attempts and planting landmines in the area.
On September 17, SOHR activists said that the Turkish base in the village of Dawoodia in the “Peace Spring” areas fired flares over Abu Racine (Zarkan) countryside, and shelled with artillery Hamdoosh farm near the frontlines with regime forces and SDF, and targeted positions of the regime forces and SDF in the same countryside.
In the meantime, regime forces and SDF responded to fire, targeting positions of Turkish-backed factions with artillery, mortars and heavy machine guns. No casualties have been reported yet.
On September 16, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights monitored clashes and exchange of artillery shelling between Turkish-backed factions and SDF, on frontlines of the village of Bab al-Khair and Hamdoosh farm in the countryside of al-Hasakeh, coinciding with firing flares over the area.
