Increased confrontation between Russian and American forces in northeastern Syria

The British-based watchdog has reported an escalating confrontation between US and Russian forces in northeastern Syria.

The British-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has reported an escalating confrontation between Russian and American forces in northeastern Syria.
The agency quoted U.S. sources as saying that US patrols have been stationed on the M4 road near the town of al-Qahtaniyah in the city of Qamishli to prevent any convoy of Russian military police from passing through.
At the same time, two Russian and two American helicopters were reported to be patrolling the area.
It was also announced on Tuesday that an American helicopter had been forced to make an emergency landing in the Yarabia area for unknown reasons. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has not confirmed the news of the American helicopter crash released in  Syrian media.
However, US forces quickly entered the helicopter landing area. According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, the United States has made a landing area for planes to land and take off.
It is also reported that routine US patrols continue in the oil-rich region of Ramilan, northern Syria.
In the latest clash between Russian and American forces in northeastern Syria, several American soldiers were wounded in a collision between military vehicles of the two countries.
