Coronavirus in north-western Syria | Health authorities record 73 new cases, and 171 cases recovered

Health authorities have recorded today 37 new cases of coronavirus in north-western Syria, which is under the control of HTS and Turkish-backed factions in Aleppo and Idlib provinces.

According to Observatory statistics, the number of confirmed cases, since July 9 to date, rose to 533, including medical staff and doctors.

While 22 cases have been recovered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovery cases to 171.

SOHR sources have documented the death of five people. The breakdown of fatalities is as follows: an elderly woman in Al-Dana town in Idlib countryside, another woman in Souran town in Aleppo countryside, a doctor in northern Aleppo countryside, an elderly man in al-Bab and a 50-year-old man in the city of Salqin in rural Idlib.
