“De-escalation zone” | Death toll of regime forces on Idlib frontlines rises to eight, and HTS targets regime forces’ gatherings in Aleppo countryside

Observatory activists have documented a spike in the death toll of regime forces in the last 24 hours. Eight regime soldiers were killed in shelling and clashes on frontlines of the town of Kafranbel in southern countryside of Idlib.

Yesterday, the Syrian Observatory documented the death of one regime soldier and the injuring of others, as a landmine exploded on frontline of Harsh Benin village in southern countryof Idlib.

On the other hand, HTS targeted with “B9” rockets regime forces’ positions in the village of Bisraton in western Aleppo countryside. No casualties have been reported so far.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the death of a young man from the city of Al-Atareb, west of Aleppo, when his car was targeted by a rocket-propelled grenade by regime forces stationed in the “46th Brigade” in western Aleppo countryside.

SOHR sources have monitored earlier Russian jets carrying out intensive strikes on Idlib province. The airstrikes hit positions in the western part of Idlib city, Arab Saied area, and the surrounding areas of Batenta town in north-western Idlib.

It is worth noting that the targeted positions host camps and headquarters affiliated to Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and other jihadi groups. However, no casualties have been reported.
