Joint patrols | Russian and Turkish forces tour villages in Ras Al-Ain countryside (Sere Kaniye)
SOHR activists have monitored Russian and Turkish forces running a joint patrol in Ras Al-Ain countryside (Sere Kaniye). A patrol of four Russian vehicles and four Turkish others set off from the border crossing in Sherik village, which is located at 13 km to the west of Al-Darbasiyyah, to the northern countryside of Abu Rasin. The patrol was escorted by Russian helicopters.
The joint patrol toured the villages of Kasra, Helewah, Ibrahimiyyah, Fuqayrah, Arraad, Zahr Al-Arab, Abbas, Alyeh, Dalek and Malak, then to Sherik.
On September 19, SOHR activists monitored a Russian patrol touring villages and towns in the region from Al-Darbasiyyah countryside to Abu Rasin countryside (Zarkan) in rural Al-Hasakah. The Russian patrol headed later to its base in Al-Qamishly city.
While on September 16, Observatory sources monitored a U.S. military patrol stationed on the “M4” road near Al-Qahtaniyya town in Al-Qamishli countryside in order to prevent Russian vehicles from passing on the road.
