Afrin | Unknown gunmen attack headquarters of Turkish-backed factions, leaving casualties

Three members of the Turkish-backed “Al-Jabha Al-Shamiyyah” were killed and injured in an attack by unknown gunmen in the early hours of Monday morning, on military headquarters in Sharran township in Afrin countryside in north-western Aleppo.

On September 16, SOHR sources monitored growing tension in the town of Sajo near the Syria-Turkey border in north Aleppo countryside. Reliable sources told the Syrian Observatory that a military group of the “al-Jabha al-Shamiya” faction stormed the town amid intense gunfire in order to arrest an armed group affiliated with “al-Jabha al-Shamiya”.

The wanted group appeared in a video, firing up on the air and spreading panic and terror in the area. This development coincided with considerable public discontent regarding the current events and the ongoing factional rivalry even among members of the same faction.
