Daraa | Assassination attempt on “collaborator” with security branches in northern countryside
Daraa governorate – Syrian Observatory for Human Rights:
SOHR sources have reported hearing gunfire in the town of Al-Alia, west of Jassim city in northern countryside of Daraa.
According to Observatory sources, the gunshots fired by unknown assailants while attempting to assassinate a person who collaborated with the regime security services, injuring him by several gunshots.
Separately, an explosion was heard in the town of Tafas, west of Daraa governorate, caused by throwing a grenade by unknown assailants at a civilian’s shop, injuring a young man who was at the site of the explosion.
This brings the number of attacks and assassination attempts in various forms and methods by detonating IEDs, landmines, booby-trapped vehicles and shootings from last June to date, to more than 677 attacks.
While the number of those who killed and died in the same period has risen to 449 persons, 122 of whom are civilians, including 12 women and 15 children, in addition to 209 regime soldiers, loyalists and collaborators with regime security services.
79 members of opposition factions were also killed, those who made “settlements and reconciliations” with the regime and became members of regime security services, including former leaders, and 23 members of Syrian militias affiliated to Lebanese “Hezbollah” and Iranian forces, in addition to 22 members of so-called “Fifth Corps”.
