Damascus countryside | Protests and cutting off roads in Kanaker, as regime intelligence arrest three women

SOHR sources say that protests took place in the town of Kanaker in the western Damascus countryside.  The protesters cut off roads setting rubber tires on fire, protesting the arrest of three women from the town by regime intelligence.

On September 14, SOHR activists reported hearing an explosion in Zakyah town in western rural Damascus. The explosion was caused by the detonation of an IED planted earlier below the car of a prominent figure, who mediated reconciliation deals between opposition fighters and the Syrian regime in the area. The explosion took place while the targeted person was getting in his car, which injured him seriously, and he was taken later to a hospital in the capital, Damascus.
