SOHR activists have reported seeing nearly 12 buses carrying regime soldiers, crossing into the SDF-controlled city of Ain Issa in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah in north-eastern Syria region.

On September 18, regime military reinforcement consisting of 15 buses carrying soldiers and logistics materials arrived in regime positions in the 93rd Regiment in Ain Issa area, north of Raqqa province.

Russian forces also brought in logistical reinforcement and prefabricated rooms on September 13, from their military base in Tal al-Samn town to Ain Issa town, north of Raqqa.

While on September 12, reliable sources told SOHR that Russian forces reopened Al-Hasakah-Aleppo international highway (M4) highway from Tal Tamr in the northern countryside of Al-Hasakah, to Ain Issa town in the northern countryside of Al-Raqqah.

This development came after the highway was closed for more than two months as a part of precautionary measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Tens of commercial trucks and vehicles were seen traveling on the M4 highway. According to SOHR sources, Russian forces escorted the trucks and vehicles while traveling on the highway.
