Islamic State executes more than 60 in the past 6 days in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor

 

Deir Ezzor Province: The warplanes carried out a raid on the town of Khasham in east of Deir Ezzor leading to kill a man at least while others were wounded. They also carried out raids on places around the airbase of Deir Ezzor, village of Mrat and other areas in west of Deir Ezzor.   The helicopters dropped a barrel bomb on an area around the village of Hatlah wounding some people.

 

Reliable sources informed SOHR that IS beheaded 2 men in al- Jaradeq Square in the city of al- Mayadin in east of Deir Ezzor for being “sleeping cells to fight IS”. They were executed in front of people, including children. It is also documented execution of another man by IS in the city of al- Mayadin with no information about his charge.

 

Meanwhile, IS executed 9 men and young men in the city of Deir Ezzor yesterday, where they beheaded a commander of a rebel battalion for “fighting IS and not handing over his weapons” and a man for being “agent for the Nusayri regime and belonging to NDF while the rest executed by shooting them for “drugs traffic”. IS also executed the Director of Operations of the gas plant of Titan located in the countryside of the city of al- Tabaqa in the province of al- Raqqa after arresting him for about 3 months. IS could seize the gas plant in April 2014 after it was controlled by Oways al- Qurani Brigade. The sources also confirmed to SOHR that the Director of Operations of the gas plant was the responsible for the agreement between the regime forces and IS organization that provides maintenance and protecting the plant for sharing profits of the gas plant of Twitan. The execution carried out 3 days ago near the plant in the countryside of al- Raqqa.

 

Thus, the number of people who were executed by IS in the villages and towns Deir Ezzor for “ serving the regime forces, fighting IS, coordinating with the awakening movements in Turkey, apostasy, drugs traffic, and recruiting al- Shaitaat people in Palmyra camp” since May 20, until now has risen to 60, including a young man from the city of al- Mayadin executed by IS organization by shooting him for “apostasy”. The sources confirmed that the young man was arrested by IS in order to be undergone for “closed Sharia course” because he opposed the Friday’s sermon of an Imam of a mosque in the city of al- Mayadin.
