“De-escalation zone” | Three high-ranking regime officers killed on Sahl al-Ghab frontlines, and exchange fire continue in Idlib countryside

Observatory sources have confirmed that three high-ranking regime officers were killed at dawn today, as a result of shelling and targeting their positions by the factions on frontline of Sahl al-Ghab in the north-western countryside of Hama.

Meanwhile, regime forces shelled the town of Afis in Idlib countryside with artillery, while the factions targeted with several shells regime forces’ positions in the southern Idlib countryside. No casualties have been reported so far.

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored Russian reconnaissance drones flying over Jabal Al-Zawiyah in the southern countryside of Idlib. Meanwhile, regime forces shelled positions on the frontlines of Killis and Zaytounah in the northern countryside of Latakia with tanks.

SOHR activists had monitored tens calm since midnight, interrupted by regime rocket attacks this morning on towns and villages in Jabal Al-Zawiyah. The regime bombardment hit positions in Al-Fterah, Kansafrah, Sfuhen and Fulayfel, but no casualties were reported.
