Fuel crisis | As Turkish lira plummets against US dollar, fuel prices in Idlib rise again

SOHR activists have monitored a new increase in fuel prices in areas under the control of Hayyaat Tahrir Al-Sham and opposition factions in Idlib province, north-western Syria region, as the Turkish lira keeps plummeting against US dollar. 10 Turkish piasters have been added to each litre of fuel, raising the prices as follows:

  • Petrol: 4.60 Turkish lira per litre

  • Oil: 4.50 Turkish lira per litre

  • Refined oil: 3.70 Turkish lira per litre

While the price of a gas cylinder has increased from 62 to 65 Turkish lira.

This is the fourth increase in fuel prices since the start of dealing in the Turkish currency instead of the Syrian one in areas controlled by the Turkish-backed factions and HTS.
