IED Blast Targets SDF Vehicle in East of Syria

ERBIL — An improvised explosive device (IED) targeted on Tuesday a military vehicle belonging to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor countryside.

The bomb went off on al-Omar oil field road in Deir ez-Zor countryside, without resulting in any casualties, but causing material damage, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said.

This comes while the Islamic State (IS) has lately regrouped itself in Deir ez-Zor, where there is a rapid increase in the group’s activities.

SOHR reported on Tuesday morning that an SDF fighter was found dead in the agricultural areas of al-Busayrah city of Deir Ezzor countryside, with marks of gunshots to his head.
