Ceasefire violations | Regime forces, opposition factions and HTS trade fire on frontlines of southern Idlib

Syrian Observatory activists have monitored renewed rocket attacks on the “de-escalation zone” in the early hours of Saturday morning, after hours of tense calm. Regime forces shelled positions in Ihsim, Al-Bara, Al-Fterah, Kanssafra, Sfuhen and Fulayfel in Jabal Al-Zawiyah. Meanwhile, opposition factions shelled regime positions in Hazarin, Kafr Nubl and Al-Malajeqa in southern Idlib. However, no casualties have been reported.

Yesterday, Observatory sources reported hearing explosions in regime-controlled areas in Idlib countryside, caused by drone attacks, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic factions, targeting regime gatherings in the villages of Kafrbatikh and Dadikh near Maardabsa town in east Idlib countryside. No casualties were reported.

It is worth nothing that drones, believed to be affiliated with the Islamic factions, shelled regime positions a few days earlier in al-Joup al-Ahmar in Sahl al-Ghab, north-west of Hama province.

Syrian Observatory sources said that the factions were working to develop drones and train members of their cadres on how to use them if regime forces tried to advance into further positions.
