NE Syria | US helicopters fly over Al-Hasakah and US forces patrol surrounding areas of Al-Malikiyyah

SOHR activists have monitored a US military patrol touring the countryside of Al-Malikiyyah town. A patrol of several US vehicle escorted by an SDF vehicle was seen touring Sarmsakh Fuqani village in the western countryside of Al-Malikiyya. The patrol headed later to Alayan area in the countryside of Ma’bada town, along with the flight of US helicopters over the area.

 

On September 24, Observatory activists monitored US forces patrolling the surrounding areas of Tal Barrak town in north-eastern Al-Hasakah, as a part of US routine movements in NE Syria region.

 

While on September 16, Observatory sources monitored a U.S. military patrol stationed on the “M4” road near Al-Qahtaniyya town in Al-Qamishli countryside in order to prevent Russian vehicles from passing on the road. In the meantime two American and two Russian helicopters were seen flying over the region. This action came as part of the ongoing Russian-American skirmishes and tension in northern and eastern Syria.
