Violations in “Peace Spring” areas | Turkish-backed factions release old man after getting five millions SYL

Turkish-backed factions have released an old man in his seventieth, after being kidnapped nearly a week ago in “Peace Spring” areas. According to SOHR sources, members of “al-Mu’tasim Division” had kidnapped the old man in Aniq Al-Hawa village in Abu Rasin countryside (Zarkan), and they released him only after his relatives paid a ransom of nearly five million Syrian liras.

 

SOHR sources have confirmed that the Turkish-backed factions continue their violations and looting civilians’ properties in “Peace Spring” areas. such violations included the devastation of houses in order to extract wood and steel, investment of farms and underground water wells, and looting of houses.

 

Yesterday, Observatory sources said that trucks belonging to Turkish-backed factions were transporting items stolen from people’s homes, such as firewood and fodder, for three days in the villages of Rihanna, Qasimiyah, Aziza, Qasimiyah Sharabin and Qasimiyah Samayla to the city of Ras al-Ain.

 

SOHR activists also monitored raids and arrests in the villages of Asadiya, Asadiya Sharqiya, Salam Allik, Tal Khanzir and Dahma’a within the “Peace Spring” areas, in addition to stealing mobile phones from civilians under the pretext that they were used to communicate with SDF.
