Security chaos in “Peace Spring” areas | Landmine explodes killing Turkish-backed fighter in Ras al-Ain countryside

SOHR sources say that a member of the Turkish-backed “Sultan Murad Division” was killed today, as a landmine planted by unknown assailants exploded in the village of al-Salhia, west of Ras al-Ain in the “Peace Spring” areas in Hasakeh countryside.

The Turkish-held area of Ras al-Ain (Seri Kanier) is witnessing growing popular discontent, as security chaos escalates in the area such as bombings, kidnappings and killings, while the factions are busy committing violations against the remaining residents of the region.

On 26 September, SOHR activists reported hearing a loud explosion at the southern entrance of Ras Al-Ain city in Al-Hasakah countryside, caused by the explosion of a car-bomb near the scrap yard in the industrial area in the city. The explosion killed seven persons and injured 12 others and caused material damage.
