For second day in a row | People of Ras al-Ain countryside protest ongoing violations, and Turkish-backed factions storm villages arresting many civilians

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has monitored today demonstrations for the second day in a row in the villages of Qatouf and Tal Diyab in Ras al-Ain countryside in the “Peace Spring” areas in Al-Hasakeh countryside, rejecting the violations of Turkish-backed factions such as storming homes and stealing their property, and demanding the release of detainees held in the prisons of Turkish-backed factions.

In this context, members of Turkish-backed factions stormed the two villages, arresting a number of residents and took them to their prisons.

Yesterday, SOHR sources monitored a demonstration staged by the residents of the Turkish-controlled village of Qatouf in the southern countryside of Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye), protesting the ongoing violations by the Turkish-backed factions in the region. SOHR sources have reported that militiamen of “Suleiman Shah” stormed houses in that village this morning, arresting at least six persons for unknown reasons. This action comes three days after a similar arbitrary arrest.

On September 24, Observatory activists said that members of the Turkish-backed factions stormed several houses in Qatouf village in the southern countryside of Ras Al-Ain (Sere Kaniye), in “Peace Spring” areas in Al-Hasakah countryside, arresting five young people for “dealing and communicating with SDF”.
